Sorry folks!  With the new year approaching and the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV, right around the corner, I’m “out of the office.”  Enjoy the last bits of 2010 and the beginning of an amazing new year!

If you are running a small, one or two person business that involves YOU in every aspect, don’t be afraid to hire a bookkeeper to do the mundane tasks in Quickbooks!  In the end, it will save you on your opportunity costs — making your company more profitable.

Remember to check your paper for the grammarian’s least favorite punctuation error: the comma splice.  People often think a comma is needed where you would breathe if speaking the sentence.  This is not so!  Most often commas separate independent clauses, introductory phrases, or items in a list.

Consider giving up a little control over your small business by hiring a bookkeeper to do your monthly accounting chores.  The time you save will yield higher profits if your new free time is directly bringing in new business.  Other areas to consider sharing responsibility would be shipping/receiving and website updates!
