The last question in most interviews is, “Do you have any questions for us?” If you don’t, at least ask a standard company culture question such as, “What is your favorite part of working here?” or “What opportunities are there for advancement?”
Let everyone know you are job searching. When chatting with your grocery store cashier, barista, or pastor, ask “Do you know anyone hiring for X position?” People want to help others; don’t be shy and give them a chance to help you with a personal referral!

Celebrate ringing in the New Year with more than just the usual resolutions. If you are currently unemployed, choose a new skill to learn to help your chances of getting a job offer! If you current have a position, commit to something that will help you advance.
